By now - things had changed - sorry Aileen.......
I had been on holiday with Mike Waller, driving in his Marcos across to Zell am See in Austria where he had tried to teach me to ski!! Pictures to follow......
And on our return from that holiday - I was told by Paul Basson and Ken Johnston that I had to go to our office in Johannesburg for 6 months - as soon as possible.
So a quick weekend away....
And it was with Marion Windsor that I drove down to Cornwall - I think, in her car - a Morris Minor - because by now I had got so fed up with the Lotus BRM Elan breaking down - that I'd part exchanged it for a Fiat 500!!
In reality - the dealer wouldn't take my ?1,200 Elan for his ?450 Fiat - but effectively that is what happened. It was like going from a go-kart to one roller skate - but at least it was reliable!! (Bring back the Beetle!!).
On the road to Cornwall - looks like we're in the "fast-lane" - but surely not
- not in a Morris Minor?? But there again - 2 cars in front is another!!
I'm sure we stayed in a hotel - and this is the inner harbour at Polperro - so
maybe a hotel there?? (Camping was over for a while!!)
