So there I was, in the lounge, ironing away, when for no reason at all I looked up, through the windows, off over the sea towards the Indonesian island of Batam - and there was a tornado like water spout - never seen anything like it!!
These were the first 2 shots of it - about 5 miles away - it was down to the water - but there was so much rain/haze that the spout only appears to go halfway
From time to time a second spout tried to establish itself - to the right of the original
These are a bit zoomy and you can just make out all the turbulence at water level
